GE to partner disposal program

GE Appliances & Lighting says it is the first appliance manufacturer to partner with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in its Responsible Appliance Disposal Program. The program focuses on refrigeration recycling. About nine million refrigerators are disposed of annually in the U.S.,,Led lamp Another advantage of these bulbs is that it lasts for a very long time and is quite strong compared to ordinary bulbs. These bulbs do not shatter as it is made of epoxy case. and only a fraction has the insulating foam in their walls and doors recycled.,Led light They consume less power than their traditional light emitting counterparts, rarely heat up and look more stylish. The foam typically goes to a landfill or is shredded with the metal, releasing greenhouse gases.,led bulb LED's can last up to 200,000 hours but they mostly should be changed roughly around the 50,000 hour mark as once they reach here they usually start to dim down which means that they need changing.

Integral to the partnership is an agreement with Appliance Recycling Centers of America, which uses UNTHA Recycling Technology to recover and recycle about 95 percent of the foam in fridges.

“If the foam from the 9 million refrigerators disposed of annually in the U.S.,Air max classic These are what hold the charge that is accumulated by the solar panel. The bulb is the icing on the cake when it comes to these lights. were processed through this recycling technology, the greenhouse gas emissions avoided would be equivalent to the annual CO2-e emissions of more than 2.4 million cars on U.S. roads, energy saving light bulbs are a great way to save energy and money.” said Brian Conners, the president and COO of Appliance Recycling Centers of America.
