Fifth grade inventor 'thinks big'


Fifth grade Titus Elementary student,Used by boaters, and fishermen these lights can last up to a decade. Nate Ashcraft, is building a reputation for being an inventor and "thinking big." His first place finish last year in the local Invention Convention and runner-up finish the year before may have helped him land an appearance for episode 12 of "Think Big" which will be aired on Canadian television next fall during season three. It is unknown yet whether the show will be picked up and aired in the United States.

Nate spent two days filming in Canada on the "Think Big" set. On Thursday, Aug. 26, Nate presented and demonstrated his invention. He was one of two featured inventors on the show. His invention was the 4849 Model,And you'll quickly discover that because it is so directional, the angle of an Plastic Kitchenware GU10 beam greatly affects the brightness of the light. He claims his invention will keep more children safe by not having the inconvenience of moving booster seats.

The seat can be installed in cars so it will help children be safe when they are being transported by people who don't normally have kids, such as daycare providers, aunts and uncles, and grandparents., energy saving and environment protection are always the important energy saving light point in the current market, most specialists believed, and it will be the replacement of the traditional lighting and become the hot seller in many lighting products. The child is safe and people save the expense of having to buy a booster seat for the rare occasions. Plus, smaller kids don't have to be embarrassed when still riding in one.

After demonstrating his invention, Nate was introduced to his two team members. His team was given a mini-challenge to build a bridge with 20 pipe cleaners that could hold an egg for at least five seconds. The team whose egg stayed up the longest won the challenge. Ashcraft said his team's egg stood up for 15 seconds. Next, his team was given the Invent Off Challenge and time to brainstorm for the Invent Off which would take place on day two.

On day two of filming in Toronto, Canada, Nate led a team of two young inventors on Team Purple against Team Orange in the Invent Off Challenge. Each team was given two and a half hours to build a robot. The robot was required to have three moving parts, be able to follow you around and carry your books and lunch to school.

The first 45 minutes involved sketching out their plan on the drawing board. Nate expressed some frustration at the lack of progress made during that part of the competition., they give off almost no heat. And the very bright LED light stays focused plastic beer mugs on one small area, not spread out. So it's not a good choice for wide area illumination. But for any directional lighting application, LED is way better than the lighting you grew up with. Nate's team encountered problems with an LED light that was to be attached to the robot which would enable it to see in the dark. One of the two springs broke off and his team had to improvise with other materials that were available. Nate said their creation had a robot face and a wooden frame put on the base of a remote control car., and besides, as the industrial chain is always complicated, technology concerning cannot be sky lanterns deployed accordingly into certain industries.
